Held release
FocusGroves study rooms are not publicly released
This page documents the release boundary rather than advertising an unavailable social feature. The current public web app does not open code-based room membership.
Code-based rooms are held until the dedicated join-code service and web client are verified together. Do not treat aggregate member-count support as public room availability.
What is implemented behind the gate
Server-issued join codes
The pending contract uses a server-issued 10-character hexadecimal join code. The client does not derive a code by shortening a room ID.
Aggregate member count
The backend can report a room's aggregate member count. That does not prove individual live presence.
Host data when supplied
The client can show real host data returned by the service instead of placeholder identities.
What is not available
No public code membership
Room creation and direct code joining remain held behind the coordinated release gate.
No verified live presence
The product does not show invented participant names, focus states, or live activity.
No shared timer or chat
Personal timers and tasks exist elsewhere in FocusGroves, but rooms do not synchronize timers or provide chat.
No camera or microphone room
FocusGroves does not advertise webcam, microphone, or video-meeting capabilities.
Why this page is held and noindex
A client and service can each appear complete while still disagreeing about join-code format, error recovery, or authorization. The feature remains closed until the deployed pair passes coordinated verification.
This route is excluded from search indexing while the capability is unavailable. It does not publish a paid offer or imply that planned presence features work today.
Release questions
Can I create or join a public room today?
No. Code-based room membership remains held for coordinated release verification.
Does the aggregate count mean people are live?
No. It is a server-reported total, not verified individual presence or activity.
Are room timers synchronized?
No. Shared timers are not available. Each user can use the personal timer outside the room feature.
Do rooms use a camera or microphone?
No camera, microphone, or video-meeting capability is claimed.
Use the released personal workflow
The web timer and signed-in task tools remain available while room membership stays closed.
