FocusGroves ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy describes how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use the FocusGroves app.

Information We Collect

We collect the following types of information:

• Account information: Email address and display name when you sign in with Google or email.
• Usage data: Focus session durations, task completions, streak data, projects, and other supported records submitted while signed in.
• Analytics: Page visits and configured product events through our self-hosted Plausible Analytics instance. Optional analytics remains off unless you allow optional services.
• Preferences: App settings such as theme, language, and timer durations stored locally.

How We Use Your Information

• To provide and improve the FocusGroves app experience.
• To authenticate you securely via our self-hosted authentication service.
• To understand how features are used so we can improve them.
• To send optional focus reminders only if you enable them.

Data Storage and Security

Signed-in account records are stored in FocusGroves' self-hosted PostgreSQL infrastructure when the app submits them. Browser preferences such as theme, language, and timer configuration may be stored locally. FocusGroves does not promise durable anonymous session or task storage. Account sessions use signed access tokens.

Third-Party Services

• Google: Optional sign-in identity provider. Privacy Policy
• LemonSqueezy: Planned Merchant of Record for web checkout; paid checkout is currently closed. Privacy Policy
• Google AdSense: The web advertising script may load only after you allow optional services and only when the account is recognized as non-Premium. Privacy Policy
• Plausible and GlitchTip: Self-hosted product analytics and error monitoring used to improve reliability.

Data Deletion

The current Settings screen does not provide self-service account deletion. To request deletion of your account and associated account data, contact us at privacy@focusgroves.com.

Children's Privacy

FocusGroves is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via the app or email.
